About Us
On September 20, 2004, we began providing children and adults with a positive, safe learning environment where they can enjoy all the benefits of Songahm Taekwondo. Our academy is a spacious 6,000 square foot facility with over 4,000 square feet of training floor. We also offer a large clean lobby for parents to enjoy watching their children achieve their goals.
We strive to provide a learning environment that is both structured and fun. Traditional Martial Arts is wonderful way to develop respect, self-discipline, and confidence in students of all ages, but we also want our students to enjoy their Martial Arts journey. We are proud to say that our academy has been recognized as the American Taekwondo Association’s School of the Year in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, and 2016!
Michelle and Kevin Pavlik, the owners and chief instructors, are full time martial arts instructors. They devote 100% of their energy to helping children and adults achieve their goals through martial arts. All of their attention and focus is on the students. Certified Instructors are subject to an FBI background check, complete a youth protection program, and must complete a rigorous training program to earn the title of Certified Instructor. All Certified Instructors also participate in continuing education and are required to renew their certification every three years.
At Pickerington ATA, our #1 Goal is to make a difference in the lives of our students. Traditional Martial Arts training goes well beyond simply practicing techniques or breaking boards. From ages 3 to 99, we strive to create Martial Artists who are successful in all aspects of their life. Whether it be in school, at work, or in other activities, ATA Martial Artists can be counted on to be examples of Honor, Integrity, and Leadership in our community.
Pickerington ATA Martial Arts is an independently owned and operated licensed location of the American Taekwondo Association.
